2016 SIP materials are live in the database and posted online at sipcertified.org under Program Documents. Please review the “Updates” and document the 2016 Standards as needed. Documentation will be reviewed by your auditor between June 1 and July 15, 2016.

Certification Year – December 1, 2015 – November 30, 2016

  • Information Package 2016 – Program guidelines and rules.
  • Vineyard Standards 2016 – Certification farming practices. Document the Standards through the online database.
  • Vineyard Standards Photo List 2016 – List of photograph documentation for the SIP Vineyard Certification Standards.
  • Prohibited Materials List 2016 – Materials not allowed in order to qualify for certification.
  • Updates and Cycle 2 & 3 Inspections 2016 – Document includes:
    • Changes made to the previous year’s Information Package which apply to the current Information Package.
    • Changes made to the previous year’s Standards which apply to the current Standards.
    • Standards that need to be documented for Cycle 2 & 3 Documentation inspection.
    • Standards that need to be documented for Cycle 2 & 3 Documentation and Onsite/Impromptu inspection.

Inspection Type (June – July 15, 2016)

Find your 2016 inspection type:

  1. Login at https://app.sipcertified.org/
  2. Click Certifications
  3. Click the icon under the column titled Appl.
  4. Look under Audit, Audit Type
    • Full = complete documentation and onsite inspection
    • Documentation = renewal documentation offsite inspection (complete questions marked D in database)
    • Doc+Onsite = renewal documentation and onsite inspection (complete questioned marked D and D+O in database)

Vineyards randomly selected for a Documentation and Onsite inspection will be announced by February 2015. All other Cycle 2 and 3 vineyards (except for cycle 2 and 3 renewals that received either a documentation and onsite or impromptu in the past 6 years) are eligible for the impromptu, onsite inspection (minimum 48 hour notice). These vineyards are inspected like a Doc+Onsite.
