Earth Day Food & Wine Weekend

January 12, 2015

Celebrating with Farmers, Chefs, and Winemakers

Vineyard Teamgrown for the greater good ~ april 17-19, 2015 ~ california’s central coast

It’s been 9 years since our first Earth Day Food & Wine event. A few people teased us, others were perplexed. Many asked, what does Earth Day have to do with food and wine? It’s our core belief that there’s nothing more earthy than a farmer.

Our little party has evolved to be one of the premiere events of the season and continues to gain momentum from eaters, farmers, chefs and winemakers alike.

This event reflects our values. We believe that farmers are at the center of an environmentally and socially conscious food & wine culture. We believe that it’s important to recognize farmers. What better way to celebrate them than at Earth Day?

This event reflects our personality. We are passionate about providing high quality services with an inclusive and fun atmosphere.

This three-day celebration (April 17-19, 2015) begins Friday night with a variety of activities, continues on Saturday with the main event at Castoro Cellars Meadow, and concludes with the Sunday Weekend Wine Down events.

Here’s what you need to know about the Main Event on Saturday, April 18 at the Castoro Cellars Meadow:

We are a FOOD & WINE event. We have real food made with real ingredients by people with a passion for creating a sustainable food movement. It will be tasty, and there will be plenty. No carrot sticks here – the food is not an after thought at our little party. Oh yeah, and the wine will be stellar too.

We’re both fancy and casual. The quality of food and wine speaks for itself. But don’t think you have to toss around sophisticated lingo to fit in. It’s great if you can, but it’s not a requirement. Wear your heels. Wear your sandals. From 20 somethings to 70 somethings – everyone is welcome.

Eating and drinking for the greater good. In addition to supporting the Vineyard Team’s sustainable ag education programs, we’ll be offering educational scholarships for relatives of vineyard farmworkers.

Tell your friends: It’s the people that make this event awesome. So tell your cool friends and help us spread the word on Facebook.
