Andy originally dreamed of being a Park Ranger when he graduated with a degree in Natural Resources Management from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Though he never did get to work in forestry, he has been able to put his degree to good use as the Director of Viticulture for Hahn Estate Vineyards and Hahn Family Wines. Andy has been farming in California for over 24 years including orchards, table grapes, and now wine grapes. Andy has been with the Hahn Family since 1998 (17 years) and oversees the production of premium wine grapes on the Vineyards of Hahn Estate which encompasses six Vineyards that total just over 1,100 acres. Andy is also the liaison for producers that produce fruit purchased by Hahn Family Wines, and the primary contact for wineries that purchase fruit from Hahn Estate. After spending many seasons in the vineyard, he now takes photographs year round.
