BRIT honors organizations in the wine industry that are taking a leading role in implementing sustainable practices with its International Award of Excellence in Sustainable Winegrowing. 
Wineries are asked to provide an assessment of their organization’s accomplishments in the categories of air, water, and land in both grape growing and winemaking; ecopreneural/social responsibility practices; and wine taste. Because the BRIT award is the only international award of its kind, BRIT attracts progressive and passionate wine organizations from around the world that practice innovative “ground to glass” sustainability.
Competition begins July 1, 2016 when the 2017 application is posted on the BRIT website (www.brit.org/IAoSW). The submission deadline for the application is October 25, 2016. Winners will be announced on January 5, 2017. Please join wineries from around the world and submit your application documenting your sustainable programs.
