SIP Certified vineyards complete and submit Chapter 14 year end water and Nitrogen use reports annually by December 15 (December 14 for 2018). Get a Sustainable Certification for your Vineyard, Winery, & Wine

Since 2008, SIP Certified has set the gold standard for sustainable winegrowing. In 2008, the program launched with a robust vineyard certification and as of 2017, wineries can also get certified for their sustainable practices. With SIP Certified, applicants can choose to certify their vineyard or winery or both by implementing the rules covered in the Standards. Second Annual California Green Medal: Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership Awards Announced

Recipients of the second annual California Green Medal: Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership Awards were announced and honored at a lunch reception and ceremony April 20 in Sacramento. The California Green Medal, developed to showcase leading wineries and vineyards committed to sustainability, is presented by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, the California Association of Winegrape Growers, Wine Institute, Lodi Winegrape Commission, Napa Valley Vintners, Sonoma County Winegrowers and The Vineyard Team.
