Get on Top of Your SIP!
February 11
2025There are many ways people interact with your brand. That means there are tons of places to share your commitment to sustainability.
In this Marketing Tip, we’ll explore three places your brand has visibility and how you can leverage these platforms to share your sustainability messaging.
1. Online
Dedicate a page on your website to highlight your commitment to sustainability by sharing specific practices.
Get inspired by these SIP Certified members.
Our Lady of Guadalupe
SIP Certified Vineyard since 2024
Because the property was an abandoned row crop farm, the team at Our Lady of Guadalupe devoted two years to bringing their soil to life before they planted their vineyard.
Their Sustainability page explains how they did it, plus their “whys” behind practices like sheep grazing, cover cropping, trying no-till, and more.
SAMsARA Wine Co.
SIP Certified Winery since 2021
From solar power to packaging, and water to waste, SAMsARA dedicates their Environmental Stewardship page to show specific ways they embrace sustainability across their business.
P.S. - check out their News page! Regular blog posts offer insightful tidbits that keep your audience in the loop with their favorite wine brand.
Monterey Pacific
Vineyard Management Company certifying vineyards since 2009
Steve McIntyre was one of the originators of the SIP Certified program, so his vineyard management company, Monterey Pacific, knows a thing or two about sustainability!
Front and center on their Sustainability page is their 2017 Green Medal Business Award video. In just two minutes, it shares their sustainable philosophy and gives examples of how they support people and the planet.
SIP Tip!
Add the logo to your website with the embed code or image files on our Member Resources page.
2. Onsite
Want your guests to know you’re SIP Certified sustainable right when they show up?
A property sign is just the tool for you! New double-sided aluminum signs measure 18” wide by 24” tall. You can contact program staff to order yours.
You can also get window decals and SIP Certified table signs for your tasting room at no cost. Contact program staff and we’ll ship them to you.
3. On the Bottle
Good news! Whether you grow your own SIP Certified grapes or purchase them, you can apply to put the SIP Certified logo on your bottles*.
Why is this important? Because there is growing interest in environmental and social health, and people know that they can make a difference by supporting businesses that do better for our future.
The SIP Certified logo shows that your practices are third-party verified to adhere to strict sustainability standards.
Plus, if you’re going through the hard work to get your property certified, why not show it?
*Any wine made with at least 85% SIP Certified fruit can apply to use the logo.
