Adding Acres? Increased Capacity?

If you are adding more acres or increased capacity at your winery, your inspection type may change. Please contact beth@sipcertified.org and we will help you streamline the process.

A full inspection (Cycle 1) is required if:

  • Vineyards: acres added to certification that are contiguous to existing certified acres and greater than 20% of the currently certified acres.
  • Wineries: facilities that increase by 50% or more of the currently certified capacity (measured in total gallon capacity of tanks and barrels)

What to Update

Update your certification a little each month to prepare for your June 1 - July 15, 2021 inspection. Login to the database to read each specific Standard as you implement and document them. Update this month:

  • 1: Conservation & Enhancement of Biological Diversity
  • 7: Pollution & Waste

*Unless noted, documentation should reflect practices from Dec. 1, 2020.

Share the Prohibited Materials List

Certain active ingredients cannot be used on certified vineyards. Make sure anyone making spray decisions has a copy of this list.
