Put Your Certification to Work
September 15, 2026
Having a SIP Certified vineyard or winery verifies your dedication to sustainable practices.
Are you getting the full marketing value from your investment?
If your brand makes wines with at least 85% SIP Certified fruit, you can carry your sustainability story all the way to the bottle by certifying your wines and including the SIP Certified seal on the label.
And that seal matters to consumers: 51% say they trust organic/sustainable food or drink claims more when the product is certified.
Every wine that carries the SIP Certified seal has been third-party verified at two levels:
- Vineyard: The grapes come from a vineyard that follows SIP Certified’s rigorous, science-based sustainability Standards
- Wine Composition: The finished wine contains at least 85% SIP Certified fruit
What is Third-Party Verification?
An independent, neutral party with no connection to the program or the applicant verifies compliance with program requirements. This helps prevent conflicts of interest and ensures every applicant is held to the same standards.
The result is a clear, credible way to show wine lovers that the fruit in their glass was grown according to standards that cover everything from soil health and water conservation to biodiversity and social responsibility.
No vague claims. No greenwashing. Just a seal wine lovers can trust.
