Seasons of Sustainability: Summer

June 23, 2026

Summer is a season of growth, observation, and preparation in a sustainable vineyard and winery.

In the vineyard, vines have full canopy and grape clusters are developing rapidly. Growers focus on monitoring vine health, managing irrigation efficiently, and maintaining balanced canopies to promote airflow and fruit quality.

In the winery, attention shifts toward preparing for harvest. Equipment is cleaned, tested, and organized to ensure a smooth crush season. Winery teams review protocols, coordinate logistics, and secure the supplies needed for incoming fruit.

Summer is also a time to engage with customers and the broader community through vineyard tours, tastings, educational events, and industry gatherings. Ongoing training helps teams stay current on best practices and emerging innovations.

These efforts ensure that vineyards, wineries, and the people behind them are ready for the excitement and opportunity of harvest season.
