A Chat With Laura Booras of Riverbench Vineyard & Winery

Guts, guile, and gumption are three words that describe this week's guest and her journey into wine.

While Laura Booras has a familial connection to the wine business, she grew up far from the Santa Maria Valley where she now thrives. After graduating from the University of North Carolina, Laura concentrated her job efforts on Santa Barbara County. Soon she was driving across country with her belongings and her dog to a place where she knew no one. That took moxie.

Laura is well known today as the Chief Executive Officer of Riverbench Vineyard & Winery. That title doesn't convey full measure to the work she does. Laura's business acumen has helped her establish and market the Riverbench label. Her curiosity and willingness to try new things led to the creation of the brand's acclaimed sparkling wines program. Laura's fingerprints are on every aspect of the business, from the vines to the wine cellar to the tasting room.

As skilled and talented as she is in promoting the Riverbench business and the Santa Maria Valley as a whole, Laura is even a nicer person. Enjoy our conversation.
