What this Means for Materials The SIP Certified® seal and/or language should be used on all marketing, promotional, and advertising materials. Thank you for working with SIP Certified to set the gold standard for sustainable winegrowing. This dedication has recently earned the program the Environmental Leader Project of the Year Award. SIP Certified Calendar July 14 – Complete your inspections. Please note applicants are subject to a late fee ($250-$500) for documentation received by the inspector after July 25, 2017. August 2 – Certification Advisory Committee (CAC) votes on eligibility. Late August – Notification of eligibility. A Sustainable Family Business at Riverbench Vineyard & Winery

Riverbench Vineyard was established in 1973, when the first Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes were planted on the bank of the Sisquoc River, known as the Santa Maria Bench. For decades since then, some of the most renowned wineries have purchased fruit from Riverbench Vineyard & Winery for their wines. In 2004, they began producing their own wines in limited quantities, with many available exclusively through the tasting rooms in Santa Maria and Santa Barbara, California. These tips are to help you update your certification documents a little each month to help you prepare for your June 1 through July 14 inspection to achieve SIP Certified vineyard and/or winery. Take this month to review all the Standard chapters to make sure your answers are complete.
