Mac & Cheese Festival

Mac & Cheese Festival

No matter where you go, there’s SIP! My wife and I attended the Gourmet Mac & Cheese Festival (yes, gourmet mac & cheese, a little heaven on Earth!) this past weekend in Paso Robles and yes, the mac & cheese was simply amazing. There were approximately 20 restaurants and caterers that brought their “A” game mac & cheese for all to try and the variety was quite impressive. There was everything from chili to lobster to BACON all tossed in and to be completely honest…every single one that we tried was amazing.

What’s a mac & cheese festival without wine?

That’s right, all this mac & cheese was paired with roughly 20 wineries…how great is that? Pretty great if you ask me. Here’s the thing though, several wineries that either have SIP Certified wines or vineyards were also representing and that is what I love to see. You’ll see some of those in the slideshow below but the ones I came across were: Claiborne & Churchill, Castoro Cellars, Clavo Cellars, Halter Ranch, Ancient Peaks, and Chamisal. You just can’t escape the SIP movement and the community being built within it.

The final aspect of this event was the cause, it was to benefit Zoo to You which is a local “mobile zoo” and animal rescue with some rather impressive creatures; some of which are shown in the photos below. For a first year event I was VERY impressed and it was fantastic to see SIP members out in full force…you just can’t escape the movement so jump on board!!
