Sustainable Wines Tolosa, Pomar and More at Vons | SIP Spotting

April 12, 2012

Tolosa Winery Pinot Noir

I made a quick trip to Vons the other day for some groceries, and of course, I had to cruise the wine aisle.

But not just the wine aisle, they had a significant promotion on wines so there were displays all over the place!

End caps.

Islands.

Aisles.

Wines. Wines Wines.

And LOTS of our SIP Certified Sustainable Wines – more wines at one major retail store than I could count – Ancient Peaks, Tolosa, Baileyana, Halter Ranch, Robert Hall, Terra Robles, Pomar Junction.

Reds, whites, roses…. Different price points…. Different vintages…. Different AVA’s.

And to top it off, there was a full end cap with front label SIP Seal love thanks to our Pomar Junction friends. (Apologies for the fuzzy photo – I believe I was shaking with excitement.)

Pomar Junction | End Cap Front Label SIP Seal Display

It was a proud moment for me, for sure.

Granted it was a local store, so I would expect to find a lot of local wines. But it is Vons. And there were dozens of wines with the SIP Seal.

In the past, I see a bottle or two with the seal.

But to see so many in one place was VERY cool!

With over 3M bottles of wine carrying the SIP seal, I’m betting there will be more spotting of these SIP Certified Sustainable Wines.

Have you seen the bottle with the seal? Send us a pic – we get very excited!

The other lingering question is, “Must I take my good camera with me everywhere for these spontaneous SIP Spottings?”
