Leverage Your Sustainable Status!

posted: December 26, 2022

People today are increasingly environmentally conscious. According to Morning Consult's 2022 Sustainability Report: What Sustainability Means to Consumers, when asked about the importance of sustainability in a variety of industries, over 80% of respondents said it's important in the food and beverage industry.

If you haven’t started telling consumers that your business is run sustainably, now's the time! You are doing the hard work to become SIP Certified, and we have tools to help you share your achievement.

Add the Seal to Your Wine Label

Consumer research from Wine Intelligence and Full Glass Research points out that “consumers seek easy ways to find and identify sustainable wine such as clear and simple visual cues or clearly identified sections in a store.”

Add the SIP Certified seal to any wine made with at least 85% SIP Certified fruit (estate or purchased) so consumers can identify your wine as certified sustainable when you can’t be there to tell them.

Wines can be certified at any time! To get started, complete a Wine Application (page 35 of the Information Package), and send it to an accredited Wine Inspector from our list, and whitney@vineyardteam.org.

Your inspector will review block-to-bottle documentation for 20% of the applied-for wines.

It’s that easy!

Use the Logo Everywhere!

Once you are certified, share your achievement by using the SIP Certified logo on your website, packaging, email signature, and around your property and tasting room!

   Download the SIP Certified logo.

Here are some ideas for using the logo to get you started:
